Zimbabwe / Zambia / South Africa
First trip to the African Continent
My very first trip to the African Contintent was in 1972. A group of friends from high school went to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia. We bought a second hand car, stayed with friends of one of us, camped and toured the region. This way clearly in times of apartheid in South Africa and Zimbabwe, then Rhodesia.
The Jumbo Guide to Rhodesia. It's about driving, fishing, camping, sailing, hiking. It has som nice sceenic pictures and very interesting adds. I still have it. This is when the capitol of Rhodesia was called Salisbury.
